  1. “Dis gurl, gotta be gettin better English, cause , she be takin funny”.
Corporations and smaller companies do NOT HAVE to give employees anything other than what they got hired for.
If she is appalled , I suggest she enroll in a junior college , get the basics , then head off to a reputable college and obtain a marketing or finance degree.

  2. …after moaning and complaining she has the nerve to say…”I’m grateful…and very, very thankful”! Yeah….sure you are…

  3. Do you have a job? Be thankful that you get paid to do that job! There are MANY people wishing they could get a job to feed their families! To learn how ‘rich’ folks get rich and stay rich is by watching $$$. How many employees does the entire corporation has in all entities under their umbrella.
Do you give gifts to everyone you know? Maybe that is why you are working for Walmart instead of being in the upper echelons of a thriving company!

  4. She should be thankful she has a job and she’s getting a bonus. Once you reach a certain age, ain’t nobody gonna hire you. Ask me how I know.

  5. Once you reach a certain age, your employer will find a reason to “retire” you. Think you’re gonna get a pension? Think again.

  6. I worked for a company for 35 years. I, nor any other workers, ever got a Christmas bonus. I didn’t expect one. The first few years, I had to work on Christmas day. I got paid double time and a half. That was my bonus.

  7. I wonder if she “ works” at the self checkout. Myself, I refuse to do their work ( self checkout) and they get paid for it. Now many products are locked up ( instead of locking up products, how about locking up the people that shoplift?) Try getting someone to help get the item you want.

  8. I refuse to use self-checkout too. Self-checkout is a way to eliminate cashiers. Several times, while at the pharmacy, I saw people walk out with items. And what happened? Nothing.

  9. I’m seeing this late. I also work (part-time) at Walmart. The gift the company actually gave (maybe hers was a store one?) was a one time purchase of 15% off PLUS the 10% that we have the rest of the year (so 25% off one purchase) I bought so much stuff I could stock up on….
