Im a 30 year public school teacher, high school geometry, and I can tell you that the BILLIONS of dollars we talk about being spent on education are used to turn our schools into social service centers. Mental health services is the biggest teat sucker in our system. So called counselors gaining positions in the system to keep students wallowing in their despair, instead of using academic rigor to escape their despair. Not to mention all the other non-academic services that divert the money away from academic use. Schools are bloated just like the gov.
And, Parents MUST be more involved with, informed about, and committed to , their children’s education. Period!
