Here in the UK we see news items that say things like “the hottest summer since 1942.” My brain goes, ‘so it was also this hot on this day 80 years ago?’ That kind of feels like it all goes in cycle. Climate moaning is the biggest con since blm.
In 2004 I was in Laughlin Nevada, and my truck thermometer said 123F. So I launched my boat and took my kids waterskiing.
When we took out the boat at 10pm it was 116. We headed back to the hotel, put the kids to bed and had a couple of glasses of wine and laughed about the fun we had that day.
Fortunately nobody burst into flames that day, so overall, it was a great trip.
