Does this parent think teachers go through physical response “training”? Like they’re taught how to defend themselves without hurting the precious? …there are plenty of Bully-Teachers…and many of them deserve to have the crap kicked out of them. However…that is a short term solution to a long term problem. I was in 2nd grade…and this old, ancient witch of a teacher told us to wear our jackets or sweaters out for recess. I didn’t do that, and the old broad called me into her room and started berating me. I recall thinking…”I get enough of this at home, I don’t need it here”. Then she tossed my old, burly, Salvation Army acquired wool sweater at me, hitting me in the face. I took that sweater, wound up and snapped it right back at her. In the process I jacked her in the eye with the big zipper and almost knocked her off her feet! Ha! Ha! Ha! I ran out of that room and snuck around the back areas of my town till I made it home, avoiding the police and others out looking for me. My paretns were corrupt, abusive LEO types, and they never even punished me for my “escape”, or almost blinding the old hag. I didn’t intend to hurt the old lady, but I wasn’t taking her crap. But at the age of the boy in the video, to initiate violence against anyone, student or staff…you invite violence upon yourself. The kid is lucky he’s not in the hospital.
